was an outstanding success, attracting a record number of visitors including international decision makers and top executives, proof once more that Berlin ITB is a world leader.

Tourists From Uzbekistan May Travel by Train to Lake Issyk Kul Since This Summer

Tourists from Uzbekistan may travel to the town of Balykchy by train from Tashkent. The tickets are sold in Tashkent. The train will depart when all tickets are sold, Kyrgyz National Railway Company. This is Uzbekistan's initiative. Tourists from Uzbekistan want to repose at Lake Issyk Kul, the Company said.

For the 3rd Bishkek
International Travel Fair, 2008

the organizers put up a yurt village outside the Historical Museum in the centre of the Kyrgyz capital. This was the State Tourism Agency's way of giving visitors a colourful and striking glimpse of the Republic's unique national culture, and highly successful it was too.

KITF 2008 The 2008 Kazakhstan International Travel Fair,

held in Almaty from April 24th to 26th, saw the release of the first issue of Discovery Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan's first Discovery publication, covering the unique culture, traditions and history of the Republic. Discovery Tajikistan, Discovery Uzbekistan and Discovery Kyrgyzstan magazines are already long-established publications of which, as with Discovery Kazakhstan, tourism organizations can commission special editions individualized to suit their specific purposes. This offer has already been taken up by Air Astana, Akzhol, CAT, Otrar travel, Silk Road Adventures and Turan Asia.

We plan to bring out the following publications in the near future:

Discovery Kazakhstan (second English edition)
Discovery Kyrgyzstan (English edition)
