All about Bukhara that's what 10 pages of special report are about, well, wait, not all, there is of course so much more to discover in and around Bukhara the city so close to my heart. For a reason. It is here that I am based, it is here that with the help of local specialists and authorities, the Association of Private Hotels and Small Tourism enterprise, teams of volunteers, with my own team, with the generous support and contributions of international development organizations and of foreign governments plus the sustained efforts of their representatives we are sparing no efforts - working towards improved infrastructure, improved service, design, promotion, improved understanding of what you, the much welcomed visitor need to feel comfortable. All this while still preserving the unique characteristics, the traditions and customs, which make this part of the world so fascinating.

Life in Bukhara is thrilling, never a dull moment, lots to do, lots of visitors, always something new, the unexpected just around the corner. Makes you very flexible. The spirit of olden days, when Bukhara was the center of The Great Silk Road, the place where some of the finest textiles and objects in the world came from, the city where science, mysticism, religion were studied and developed, that spirit can still be felt. It is still there, to a great extend. In the narrow lanes of Bukhara's old town you find it largely thanks to Bukhara's inhabitants, the people you encounter along Eshoni Pir or around Lyabi Hauz square and whose ancesters can be traced back to the Northern steppes, Persia, the Pamirs, Uygur tribes, Tatarstan, Armenia, The Far East. They all contribute to Bukhara's magic.
