Bakhtiyor Nazarov is one of those artists in Uzbekistan, who distinguish themselves not only through their particular style but most of all through the theme recurrent in their oeuvre. Perusing a recent exhibition one could but notice that "Women of the Orient" has been a predominant feature of Bakhtiyor Nazarov's art work.
Nazarov's background is in film, the movies. He is a graduate of the State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow and the art director of Uzbekfilm studios.
His travels throughout the world, the many movie locations he has worked at, have allowed him the opportunity to explore and incorporate various aspects of the lives of oriental women into his paintings.
Today private collections in Seoul, Paris, New York, Morocco, Moscow and Uzbekistan feature his works.
