Gennadiy Bajajin
Drawn, from an early age, to the mountains, Gennadiy incoprorates the sketches he brings back from his numerous mountain climbing expeditions in the Pamir, Tien-Shan and the Caucasus into his chiaruscuro works. Mountains and people - portraits, these are his major themes; the meditative state, calm and infinity his expression.

Vladimir Lunev
For Vladimir & Tatyana Lunev gobelin is the preferred technigue. A member of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, Vladimir is self-taught. Moving away from earlier themes such as "thejoy of a small garden", Lunev is exploring the vanguard form of painting transformed into hand dyed and woven threads: Metamorphosis of a red hammer" philosophically reflects mankind on a historic crosscroad.

Ferghana
Eduard Ramazanov
The works of this artist take you straight into the magic world of nature pure. Each landscape seems alive- you will feel the soft breeze of a summer's day, head the sonds of birds, and watch the passing clouds above you. His favorite theme are mountains in any season of the year, snow capped or with the yellow hue of fall.

Natalya Khegay
Her creative credo is to depict the surrounding world in still life and landscape. In her work you find mainly exuberant colors, contrasts and shades. Such pictures as "Spring Bouquet", "Color Collage" are part of private collections in Japan, Germany and Austria. At present Natalya lives in Fergana and works in the regional subsidiary of the Academy of Arts of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Alisher Khamidov
Being a true Ferghanaian, his perception of nature, of the softest and strongest hues found throughout the entire color spectrum are representative of the temperament typical to this valley. Phantasy and inscrutability and mistery prevail in works such as "Tequila dawn", "Evening in Kokilon", His colors, his flow of line and his inner self.
Khamidov has participated in a number of regional and republican exhibitions and his oeuvres are found in galleries and private collections throughout the country. His painting "Yarmazar" hangs in the gallery of The National Bank in Tashkent, his "Composition in Red" at the Samarkand museum, "Pomegranate and "Autumn" are property of the Art Museum of Tashkent.

Vladimir Puchkovskiy & Svetlana Ishkova
Among all the arts and crafts of Uzbekistan, gobelin weaving since the early 70's has its center in the Ferghana Valley. Cultural influences interlace along the borders with Kyrgyzstan. The ancient carpet techniques, using wool and woolen brushes, namely Ala-Keiz and Tugi-Keiz serve as a base for contemporary works, The artists featured here are either autodidacts or members of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.
