Our fourth 4th edition and already we are taking Discovery abroad, for the world to discover...
Discovery Central Asia Travel & Leisure.
Discovery will be represented at ITB Berlin, where you are going to meet the country's tourism experts, meet and talk to them in person about the tours, the people, nature, architectural splendors, arts and crafts and much more this country in the heart of Central Asia has to offer its visitors.

As we are going into print it is with a feeling of apprehension about events that may take place thousands of kilometers further West. I remember how I stood, in October 2001, at the banks of the Amu Darya river in Termez, overlooking the sand and dust on the Afghani side, knowing but not witnessing what was going on South of the river, yet feeling light years away, wanting the world to know, everything is as always in Uzbekistan, nothing has changed, we do business as usual, in a sound and safe environment.

This time round we've heard from several European travel agencies and tour operators that they have made a stance, that they are going to come to Uzbekistan, that they are going to bring visitors who have longed for the splendors of The Great Silk Road for too long. On behalf of all those who here in Uzbekistan await you with famous Central Asian hospitality I want to say, come, do come, experience a country that is like no other, where strong cultural ties bind a diversity of people and peoples together and many ancient traditions are still lived come.. and have a marvelous, interesting and exciting time.

Sincerely,
Andrea Leuenberger
Editor-in-Chief

A variety of different events small or great important or not have occurred since our last issue, they disappeared in time like sands in the desert.
