The Academy of Artof the Republic of Uzbekistan and the City Mayor's office of Tashkent Hokimiyat" carry out II International Art Exhibition in Tashkent "Biennale 2003"

Tashkent is the largest cultural center in the country in terms of modern art and historical context. The Academy of Art is currently preparing an ambitious project, an "Biennale" never carried out in the Central Asian Region before.

The philosophy of the exhibition is "West and East - undividable space of humanism".

Guests from Italy, France, Germany, Denmark, Egypt, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, China, Turkey, Mongolia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Poland, Azerbaijan, Georgia are expected. An international jury including specialists from France, Italy, Korea, Egypt, Russia and Uzbekistan, will cast their vote and present the Grand Prix. An impressive number of companies and art-galleries are preparing special prizes for "Biennale" participants.
