Plunge into the heart of Tashkent and you'll have a chance to satisfy your craving for art. We are able to give you only a fraction of what Uzbekistan has to offer in terms of exhibitions, trade fairs and events in Uzbekistan. The following museums galleries organize events on a regular basis, call them for a schedule or check out their websites.
1. Who says children won't appreciate theatre? At the Youth Theatre of Uzbekistan you can relax in comfortable seats while your children watch the how the Iron Woodcutter and the Cowardly Lion help Little Elly find her way home. Snacks during intermission offer you a choice from an assortment of cakes and drinks. In May you can see the premiere of "The mystery of the magic necklace" a fairy-tale by Antokolskiy.

2. If you like watching burning fire, fluidity of form and plastic arts you can watch "Sodom and Gomorra XXI", a plastic play-show performed in the style of progressive rock music. The play will take place at the Youth Theatre of Uzbekistan daily from 4 - 12 May at 7.30pm.

3. Gather some friends and visit the " Turkiston" Concert Palace where you can enjoy the magnificent soprano voice of Khuriat Isroilova and national classical music performed by the folk dance and song ensemble "Zaravshan". The concert will take place on 22 May at 7 pm. Tel. 1376091
4. Be happy to meet you do, it's time to relax and enjoy yourself. On 30 May and 8, 20 June in the intimateatmosphere of the "Ilkhom" Theatre you can watch comic Eastern play "White, white black stork". You'll be surprised at the great assortment of drinks and desert offered during intermission and after the performance at the theatre bar.

5. Enjoy free admission to the Exhibition hall in the "Ilkhom" theatre in Tashkent during May. Experience the richness of Eastern colours at the most refined exhibition of modern Eastern artists. This dazzling display of exhibits includes the exquisite pieces of Bakhtiyar Umarov, the wild fantasies of Lola Babaeva and the twinkling canvases of Javlon Umarbekov. The exhibition hall is open from 10 am till 6 pm.

6. After shopping and sightseeing it's high time to refresh yourself. At Tashkent Aqua Park you can splash in the clean cool water of the many swimming pools or remember your youth by sliding down the hair-raising water attractions. The Aqua Park situated in Amir Temur Street, not far from the "Inter-Continental" Hotel, is open daily from 9 am till 8 pm.
7.If you are tired of tourist buses or finished with all your business meetings then it's time to relax at Tashkent land, the best place for a healthy rush of adrenalin. You're never too old or too young to have fun by trying something extra exciting. Try Shockwave for an unforgettable emotional experience or Loop the Loop if you enjoy being hoisted up then sent plummeting back to the ground! Here you can meet and shake the hands of your favorite cartoon heroes: Mickey, Donald and many others. If the action is overwhelming, gather yourself as you eat your favorite at one of the outdoor cafes, watching the crowds go by. Tashkent land, situated near the "Inter-Continental" Hotel, is open daily from 9 am.
8. The vigorous bass of the young opera singer Khatam Yuldashev and the fascinating accompaniment of the Bolshoy Theatre Orchestra will transport you to another world where the iron-fisted Amir Temur bows his head to his delicate and beautiful Bibikhonum. You can enjoy the "Amir Temur" opera performed by leading opera singers of Uzbekistan on 14 May at 6 pm on the stage of the A. Novoi State Academic Bolshoy Opera and Ballet Theatre.

9. The magical play of colours and gentle music created by the "Thousand and one nights" ballet will bring a perfect end to a wonderful weekend as you visit the Sunday evening performance. The procession of pharaohs and wandering of Bedouins, Aladdin on his magic carpet and veiled Eastern beauties will transport you into a wonderland of Eastern make-believe.
