UZBEKISTAN. All our life is a game.
1. I have a look at your children do you see the purity and light coming out of them? They're devoid of troubles and anxieties because children create their world themselves. Our boys and girls transform before our eyes becoming pilots and drivers, teachers and nurses or imitating us, their parents. How delicately they notice the only feature that can describe the character of images created by them and we recognize ourselves in their gestures, words and appearance. On being grown up children choose one of beloved masks, put it on and grow stiff in it. The mask becomes part of their life and in some cases their life completely. But there are still people who always remain to be children and they go to the place where they can live and create with pleasure, constantly playing and reminding us that "all our life is a game".
2. Theatre is always young especially if it's for youth. The Uzbek Youth theatre is one of the most popular ones in the country and is well known abroad as the theatre has repeatedly participated in lots of international festivals. Nabi Abdurakhmanov, producer and artistic manager, managed to create the atmosphere when one having crossed the threshold of the theatre forgets about everything, laughing and crying together with artist.
3. Season of 2002-2003 year is being a significant one for the Uzbek Youth theatre for it'll be crowned with celebration of 75th theatre jubilee. Opening of the international Festival "Humo" will be timed to coincide with this date. Active preparation is in progress in the theatre on the threshold of all these events that will take place in May 2003. Some more interesting plays are added to its repertoire equally with "Violinist on the roof", "Princess Turandot", "Omar Khayam's constellation", "Sodom and Gomorra-9" Parable about gifted love" and Girl with matches"successfully staged in theatre. This project is being brought about thanks to the support of Get he institute in Tashkent.
4. Renovations will affect both inner creative life of the Youth theatre and building that has already become a part of the Uzbek history. Technical up into line with norms of modern theatre. Auditorium is gaining more major repairs. Hall furniture is becoming both esthetic and conception being done by painters Vladimir Skripnik and Vladimir Elizarov from paintings were given the highest appreciation by experts of European Art-Business

5. Images form fresco and artistic objects are directly connected with main philosophic thought about drama art: "The whole world is a theatre!" Characters of wall painting seem to introduce the spectators to mythological atmosphere of theatre micro world, which makes for simultaneous creative act a play that is carefully created and preserved in the Youth theatre Presentation of wall painting and easel painting exhibition will take place in September at the time of opening of 2002-2003 year theatre season.
